About the Role

Are you an innovative L&D professional passionate about creating learning solutions that make a genuine difference?

We are seeking six (6) Instructional Designers (APS5 Equivalent) to join a major Federal Government agency dedicated to supporting Australians with disability. In this role, you will design, build, and evaluate high-quality, accessible learning programs for a diverse workforce, using best-practice adult learning principles and 70:20:10 frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Design: Develop engaging eLearning modules, facilitator guides, learner workbooks, and Video on Demand (VoD) content.

  • Tool Proficiency: Utilise Articulate RISE and Storyline to create modern, interactive learning experiences.

  • Accessibility: Ensure all digital learning packages comply with WCAG 2.0 AA standards.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Consult across the agency to conduct learning needs analyses and perform gap analyses.

  • Delivery Support: Facilitate content via train-the-trainer models and up skill internal facilitators.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven background in instructional design and adult learning principles within corporate or government settings.

  • Advanced skills in Articulate RISE & Storyline and standard MS Office products.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging plain English and visuals.

  • Experience designing accessible digital content adhering to WCAG standards.

  • Desirable: Qualification in Adult Education/L&D (e.g., TAE40122) or lived experience in the disability sector.
